As part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the NDR Vocal Ensemble and conductor Peter Dijkstra invite you to a choir night at St. Michaelis Church in Lüneburg on July 11. The program includes works by Debussy, Poulenc, and Erkin, among others.
Weightlessly floating harmonies and shimmering nuances of color – the NDR Vokalensemble demonstrates that choral music from France perfectly embodies this characteristic sound aesthetic, but at the same time has much more to offer. Claude Debussy's "Trois Chansons," for example, sets texts from the 15th century to music and combines Renaissance techniques with Impressionist colors in an artful and beautiful way.
